Role overview
The Energy and Carbon Policy Analyst Intern will play a vital role within the Product department in supporting Flexidao’s Partnerships and Policy Lead. This individual will analyse and track the latest global trends in voluntary and mandatory energy and GHG carbon accounting. They will contribute to thought leadership initiatives and support ongoing company operations with industry platforms, associations, and advocacy groups.

This is an internship position. All applicants must be able to sign an educational agreement with their university to be eligible.
Your Challenge
Policy and Market Trend Analysis
  • Track, research, and analyse global voluntary and mandatory energy and carbon accounting trends, standards & policies
  • Develop concise, informative materials to update Product and Sales teams to ensure the relevance of our offerings and pitch in the evolving market landscape.
  • Provide insights to guide the Partnerships and Policy Lead on emerging policy frameworks, helping to align Flexidao’s strategy with global standards.
Research and Content Development
  • Contribute to developing original research, including white papers, blog articles, reports, and workshops, showcasing Flexidao's energy and carbon policy expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into external-facing materials.
Platform and Association Engagement
  • Manage operations related to Flexidao's memberships and active engagement with industry platforms and associations, including ClimateGroup, RE-Source, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, CEBA, RECS Energy Certificate Association, Eurelectric, etc.
  • Support the Head of Partnerships & Policy and Chief Product Officer to ensure regular participation and contributions to these platforms' thought leadership and industry discussions.
Must-haves
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering.
  • Currently pursuing an MSc degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Policy, or a related field.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strategic approach supported by strong communication skills (C2 or bilingual English proficiency).
  • Strong interest in carbon accounting (GHGP Scope 2), energy and carbon markets, and corporate sustainability trends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
Nice-to-have
  • Good understanding of the renewable energy sector and the B2B SaaS cleantech industry.
  • Knowledge of clean energy industry platforms such as ClimateGroup, RE-Source, CEBA, RECS Energy Certificate Association, Eurelectric, etc. is a plus.
