Role overview
As a Junior Energy Analyst specialising in Environmental Commodities, you will contribute to developing a comprehensive portfolio of Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) data sources across various regions. Your primary objective will be to expand our portfolio with ready-to-use data sources, build a network of new data providers, and manage the research and integration processes they require.
Additionally, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our data-gathering processes, contributing to enhancing our software products related to EAC data collection and visualizations. You will be part of the Product department, working directly with the Product Owner overseeing environmental commodities, and collaborating daily with the Product and Technology team.

This position is based in Rotterdam (hybrid setting), and the candidate must be able to sign an educational agreement with the university.
Your Challenge
  • Data Portfolio Expansion: Support the creation and expansion of a comprehensive environmental commodities data portfolio, focusing on Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) in different regions.
  • Network Building: Develop and maintain a network of new data providers to enhance our data sources.
  • Research & Integration: Conduct research and manage integration processes for new data sources to ensure seamless data acquisition.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data-gathering processes.
  • Product Improvement: Collaborate with the Product team to improve our range of software products related to EAC data collection and visualizations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner and engage with the Product & IT team to align on goals and deliverables.
Must-haves
  • Bachelor in Engineering
  • Strong interest in environmental commodities and energy markets.
  • Basic understanding of energy certification and related data.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with data integration processes and software product development is a plus.
  • Being able to sign an educational agreement with the university
Nice-to-have
  • Prior experience or interest in Energy industry.
